# Slack

> Connect Slack to get notified where your team already works.

The Slack integration delivers Observerbee notifications to your workspace, so insights and pending approvals reach your team without anyone having to watch the dashboard.

## What it is used for

* **Notifications.** Get notified in Slack when there is something worth seeing: new insights from your [agents](/concepts/agents-and-governance), or actions waiting in the approval queue.

## Connecting

1. Open the [Observerbee Dashboard](https://app.observerbee.com) and go to the **Integrations** page.
2. Choose **Slack** and click connect.
3. Complete the OAuth flow and pick the workspace to install into.

## Security

* OAuth tokens are stored AES-GCM encrypted and only used server-side by a credential proxy; agents never see them. See [Agents and governance](/concepts/agents-and-governance).
* Posting a notification is a governed action like any other: it is subject to your organization's policies and the acting agent's autonomy level.
